Unlike traditional fire protection technologies which are pressurized and require distribution piping and nozzles to deliver agent into the protected space, Stat-X units are mounted within the protected space and are non – pressurized until activation. The Stat-X aerosol is created on-demand in the event of a fire and the aerosol agent produced has been shown in numerous tests to be 10-17 times more effective than traditional agents on Class B fires. The Stat-X agent is also totally GREEN with no ozone depletion potential, no atmospheric lifetime, and negligible global warming effect.
The Stat-X units are ruggedly constructed of stainless steel and, as they are non-pressurized, require minimal maintenance over their installed lifetime. Replacement of units after a fire event is a “plug and play” operation meaning minimal downtime. The units require a fraction of the weight and space requirements of traditional systems with typical weight savings of 80% to 90%. The result of the above is a very effective, robust system which is significantly less expensive on initial installation; gives significant maintenance cost savings over the service life of the system, and provides the most efficient and cost effective fire protection available today for valuable equipment.
